SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 30

Congratulating Marion Gail Byrd on her selection as West Virginia Mother of the Year, 2004.

Whereas, Marion Gail Byrd is married to her beloved husband, Milton, with whom she shared the joy of having seven children who have blessed them with fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and
Whereas, Marion Gail Byrd is a present member and former Capitol District President of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of West Virginia; and
Whereas, Marion Gail Byrd is a member of the Kentucky-Ohio- West Virginia District Administrative Council for Pilot International Volunteer service organization; and
Whereas, Marion Gail Byrd is a member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church of St. Albans and serves as Chair of the Altar Guild; and
Whereas, Marion Gail Byrd has been selected by the West Virginia Organization of American Mothers, Inc., as the West Virginia Mother of the Year, 2004; and
Whereas, Marion Gail Byrd will represent West Virginia at the American Mothers, Inc., Convention scheduled for April, 2004, in San Juan, Puerto Rico; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates Marion Gail Byrd on her selection as West Virginia Mother of the Year, 2004; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Marion Gail Byrd.
